Finding her way back into Maybeck in her retirement, Board Chair Gretchen Griswold has discovered the charm of a good cookie in a long class, tutoring session, or meeting. She would like to share that discovery with the larger Maybeck community by offering six batches of two dozen homemade cookies over the next year, delivered to you via your Maybeck connection.
Gretchen bakes with Beurre d’Isigny cultured sweet butter, pasture raised hen’s eggs, and organic flours and nuts. For most recipes, she weighs ingredients and uses a cookie scoop for portion accuracy. She can accommodate nut and chocolate sensitivities, but eggs, butter, and gluten cannot be avoided.
