Nicholas Pukstas

Nick Pukstas serves as the Assistant Head of School at One Schoolhouse, where he oversees academic operations and supports a network of 75 faculty members serving independent schools worldwide. With over 15 years of leadership experience in online, boarding, and day school environments, Nick has led initiatives in remote learning, faculty development, and curriculum innovation at institutions including Bentley School and The Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut. Before moving into educational leadership, Nick spent more than a decade teaching Latin at all levels, coaching varsity track and field, and serving as a dormitory head and academic advisor. He holds an Ed.M. in Private School Leadership from Columbia University's Klingenstein Center and earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Classics from Princeton University and San Francisco State University, focusing his graduate research on Roman wall painting. Nick lives in San Francisco with his husband and their beloved Wheaten Terrier.
