Having lived internationally for more than a decade—making a home in England, Ireland, Hungary, Korea, and Kyrgyzstan—Frank has taught for more than fifteen years at high schools and universities around the globe. Their education has been deeply transdisciplinary, with an Undergrad in History, Broad Field Social Studies, and Education; a Master's degree in Social Development focusing on issues of gender and education globally; and a PhD in Comparative Gender Studies, Sociology, and Social Anthropology. Their research has been published in a variety of scholarly journals, and they are the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Bodies, Sexualities, and Masculinities.
Beyond their academic research, they are a working poet, having been published in wide-ranging literary magazines such as the Nashville Review, OG Quarterley, and New Nottingham Journal. They bring this interdisciplinarity and wide-ranging interests to everything that they do. Bringing more than two decades worth of love of reading and inquiry, Frank is excited to join the Maybeck community and be a part of our collective learning journey.
