| 2007-2008 Expenses at Maybeck High School |
For the school year 2007-2008, the basic cost is $18,800. The tuition is $17,950 and the annual fee is $850. The annual fee covers all school trips, printing and mailing costs, ID cards, graduation fees, transcripts, yearbooks, and other classroom expenses. Other costs are billed individually as Expenses. These include book use fees, art class materials, and field trips. These may add up to as much as $400 per year depending on the student’s specific classes. Special Programs are also billed separately because of the wide range of costs for the programs offered (from $50 to $2,500). To help you plan for future years, we anticipate that the tuition and fee will most likely increase 5-10% annually.
For one semester only, the basic cost is $11,195: 60% of the annual tuition and half the annual fee. |

Maybeck dedicates 15-18% of its revenue to financial aid and seeks to meet families’ needs. We offer aid as a reduction of tuition only. The annual fee and expenses are never reduced and must be paid in full. Eligibility for aid is based solely on financial need and availability of funds; in other words, timeliness favors your application. Don’t hesitate to apply for aid if you think you need it. All financial and personal circumstances will be considered in the evaluation.
People who receive financial aid will automatically be on a ten-month payment plan, with 60% of tuition due in the fall semester and 40% of tuition due in the spring semester. Half the annual fee is paid each semester. Applications for financial aid must be submitted for each school year that the student attends Maybeck.
In addition, there are four full scholarships for students who have demonstrated financial need, who have academic promise, and who would contribute to the cultural and racial diversity of Maybeck’s student body.
We offer Jeremy Harrison Memorial Fund scholarships to students in their third or fourth year at Maybeck who are on financial aid and who have not been able to participate in a travel Special Program. |
Parents who can afford to make tax-deductible donations to our financial aid or scholarship funds are encouraged to do so at any time. Donations will be acknowledged with receipts for tax purposes.
